Shipbuilding & Lifecycle Technology 4.0

DK (Dimitris Kaklis) participated as Speaker in the Shipbuilding & Lifecycle Technology 4.0 on 27^th of January 2022 (Virtual Conference Day 1) provided a presentation with title ‘’Sustainability in ship operations through the lens of AI and Industry 4.0’’. The main issues that stressed out during the presentation were related to the Operational Optimization in the maritime sector and how AI & Industry 4.0 will facilitate the transition  towards a sustainable and low emissions operational blueprint. Moreover, representative examples of AI advancements and technologies already incorporated in core modules of the maritime ecosystem were given. Finally, future steps towards the exploitation of the proliferation of IoT devices and state of the art communication networks were presented.
