MSc Smartsea successfully completed

The MSc on Smart Maritime & Surveying Systems (Smartsea), an Erasmus and Joint Master Degree funded by the European Union was successfully completed on October 19, 2022 in Thessaloniki (International Hellenic University), as at that date the official student’s graduation ceremony took place.  

During the final event, which lasted 4 days (October 17-20), theses presentations, consortium-training activities, lessons learned round-table discussions, and visits to DIOPAS S.A. company and Wine Estate ‘’Gerovasileiou’’ were executed. The partner ‘’International Hellenic University’’ hosted the whole event which was also organized by the University of Salamanca (Project Coordinator).

Our visit to DIOPAS S.A. (net production company), organized by ‘’International Hellenic University’’ was very interesting since we were able to see live the whole net production process, as well as the facility (tank) of the ROUV demonstration.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that DANAOS is very proud as three colleagues (Nicolas Theodosiou, George Grafakos and Katiana Argyropoulou) of the company managed to get the Master Degree with distinction.

The MSc Smartsea does not end here… The Consortium is working for the continuation of the master as our MSc program combines all the necessary tools (IoT, AI, Big data analytics) along with the right Professors who are ready to prepare and educate the students to join with all the forces the Maritime Industry.
