DrC in Posidonia

Posidonia 2022, the world’s most prestigious biennial shipping event, on Monday 6-10 June welcomed the global maritime community back to Athens, following the pandemic-induced cancellation of the 2020 event.

During Posidonia week 06-10/6, DRC had the opportunity to present its role in the Engimmonia EU Project, as well as  passing great time with many Greek partners of a couple running projects (GATERS, ORC4SHIP, SQLEARN, HP4SHIP, etc.).

The GATERS project was on the display by the project Greek partner, Glafcos Marine Ltd (GME), in their exhibition booth with a characteristic massive 3D prints of the Gate Rudder System (GRS) representing the scale model of the world’s first GRS retrofit for the project target vessel MV ERGE.

The ORC engine (ORC4SHIP project) was accommodated in Psychotherm’s booth. It is worth mentioning that ORC4SHIP project is co-financed by Greece and EU and the ORC system  has been awarded with Lloyds list Technical award.

Moreover, DRC team visited HELMEPA booth with regards to the upcoming 2- days event ‘’ Helmepa e-seminar “Digital transition and cybersecurity awareness in shipping» taking place on June 21 & 22, 2022 in hybrid format. In this event, DRC will participate as speaker on June 22, 2022 from 11.00 to 13.00.

The DRC Voyage Emission  real time monitoring system   announcement  greatly welcomed  by our visitors and decided to be used in SMARTSEA M.Sc program during the last mobility period
