DANAOS Research Centre supports the Environmental, Social, Safety, and Governance Performance by participating in 21 research projects co-funded by the European Union investing in research activities to benefit, energy efficiency, vessel operational sustainability, and service quality. More specifically, we are strongly supporting the Environment, Social, and Governance Policy by focusing on research activities on alternate fuels, energy sources, assessment/feasibility, retrofits for energy efficiency, IoT, big data analytics, AI, deep learning, robotics, autonomy, Underwater vehicles, simulation, maritime digital twin, augmented reality, cybersecurity/safety and LCxA (Life cycle assessment for x: performance, cost, efficiency)
